Wild Food Festivals & Special Events
Larger seasonal gatherings featuring foraging, food, music, and community — hosted by Gentleman Forager.
Our festivals and special events bring people together around wild food, education, music, and community. These gatherings go beyond a typical foray, creating space to slow down, ask questions, compare finds, and build real confidence in a relaxed setting.

Over the years we’ve hosted events like the Lobster Mushroom Jamboree, the Black Morel Hootenanny, the Chanterelle Shindig, Shroomapalooza, and the Wild Food Fandango - - each shaped by the season and the people who make it what it is. Whether we’re hosting our own gathering or contributing to a larger celebration, the focus remains the same: real knowledge, exceptional ingredients, good music, and memorable food.

Shroomapalooza
September 18–20, 2026
Scenic View Campground
Poquette Lake - Spooner Wisconsin
Shroomapalooza is our annual end-of-season celebration — a mushroom-centered weekend at Scenic View Campground on Poquette Lake. Part guided foray, part wild food gathering, part campfire music session, it’s a chance to close out the season together in the woods and by the water.
Days are spent exploring and talking mushrooms. Evenings bring shared meals, live music, and relaxed conversation under the pines. Whether you’re new to mushrooms or have years in the field, Shroomapalooza is welcoming, educational, and genuinely fun.
