About the Event

Presented by Mike Kempenich, Owner of Gentleman Forager and President of Forest to Fork, as well as the former mushroom identification instructor at the University of Wisconsin and Minnesota extensions. Learn positive wild mushroom identification and Mike’s tips for more successful foraging. Class covers Morel, Puffball, Black Trumpet, and Oyster mushrooms. Mike teaches toxic look alikes, storage, cleaning, and proper cooking tips in his own humorous, engaging, approachable style. Participants will leave confident in their ability to positively identify the mushrooms taught, and gain useful insights into where to look, why, and when!
