Late-Season Morel Foray with Gentleman Forager
As the morel season matures, something remarkable often happens.
Late May can produce what seasoned hunters refer to as “Big Foot” morels — unusually large specimens that emerge after sustained warmth and moisture. These late-window mushrooms can be thick, tall, and impressive in scale.
While no wild harvest is ever guaranteed, this weekend consistently offers the best chance of encountering giants.
