Identification Classes

Our classes are designed for both beginners and experienced foragers who want to improve their skills. Led by veteran mushroom hunter Mike Kempenich, who has 40 years of experience in the field, the classes will teach you how to identify and forage for wild mushrooms safely and confidently. Mike is the owner of Gentleman Forager, founder of Forest to Fork, and a former wild mushroom identification certification instructor at the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin Extensions. After taking our classes, you will be able to successfully find and use wild mushrooms in your kitchen, confident in your ability to positively identify them.
